Employee of the Week - Lee Davis

The Information Technology Department is proud to recognize Mr. Lee Davis as Pittyslvania County’s Employee of the Week! Lee joined the department in July 2022 as Webmaster and Digital Communications Specialist. In three short months, Lee has become an integral part of the IT family and continually works hard to help make the division’s website, school websites, and the division’s social media footprint the best it can be.
Lee was born and raised in Danville, VA and is a graduate of George Washington High School. He got his start in the Information Technology world with Danville Public Schools, where he worked as an IT Technician for four years prior to coming to Pittyslvania County Schools. Lee has a love for telling stories through multimedia, especially videos. He won a Telly Award in 2022 in the Non-Broadcast: General-Miscellaneous category for co-producing a campaign video. He also toured nationally for a dance competition company as a videographer in 2018 and he serves as a stage lighting designer for local dance studios. He most recently was the Lighting Designer for Brittany Cody Dance Company.
Lee has been married to his wife, Abi, for two years and their pride and joy is their Dachshund, Moose. In what little spare time he has between his many endeavors, Lee loves to bowl and travel to Disney World. When asked what he loves most about working for Pittyslvania County Schools, he responded, “Everything, working for PCS is literally my dream job!”
