Pittsylvania County Schools:
The 2023-2024 Calendar was approved at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Pittsylvania County School Board on November 8, 2022.

The most important aspect in creating the 2023-2024 school calendar is the instruction of students.  Other aspects included meeting the two 90-day semesters for a 180-day school calendar, the 200-day teacher contract, the SOL program (including testing windows), teacher professional days and workdays, and coordination with other programs such as Governor's School, AET, PCTC, Virtual Virginia AP classes, etc.
