Students Train in Emergency Simulation
Posted on 04/27/2026
The Pittsylvania Career and Technical Center recently held a Mass Casualty Incident Simulation on Friday, April 17, 2026. Staff collaborated with community emergency response teams and law enforcement to create a realistic mock incident, giving students the opportunity to actively “work the scene” and apply their skills in a hands-on environment.

Special thanks to Joann Lohr, EMT Instructor; Kaleb Farley, Criminal Justice Instructor; Travis Wood, Welding Instructor; and all staff members who contributed to the planning and implementation of this event. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our community partners for their support in making this valuable educational experience possible.
