Last week, the GO Virginia State Board Retreat was held at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, where a panel of experts highlighted the success of the GO TEC Virginia program. This initiative introduces over 9,000 middle school students across 52 schools to careers in robotics, welding, and more. Panelists, including Dr. Julie Brown (IALR), Linda Green (IALR and Southern Virginia Regional Alliance), and Dr. Mark Jones (Pittsylvania County Schools), emphasized the program's ability to engage students through hands-on learning and industry partnerships, significantly boosting workforce development and contributing to economic growth.
