On Friday, April 25th, Pittsylvania County Schools celebrated a memorable occasion as they honored retiring staff members with a warm and heartfelt ceremony. The event was a joyful tribute to the educators who have devoted their lives to nurturing and inspiring young learners.

Pittsylvania County Schools also takes this opportunity to express profound gratitude to our Division Superintendent, Dr. Mark Jones, who will be retiring at the conclusion of the 2024-2025 school year. Dr. Jones’ leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to educational excellence have left an indelible mark on our division. His dedication to students, staff, and the broader community has paved the way for a strong and vibrant future. We thank Dr. Jones for his outstanding service and wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.
