From Strong Roots, Come Endless Possibilities

In recognition of Virginia School Board Appreciation Month this February, Pittsylvania County Schools honors the dedicated leadership team that serves our community. This year’s theme, “From Strong Roots, Come Endless Possibilities,” emphasizes the goal of providing a firm foundation so that every student can reach their highest potential.
The Week of February 1, 2026, is designated as School Board Clerk Appreciation Week. We wish to recognize our School Board Clerks, Mrs. Jonica Wilson-Carter, Clerk, and Mrs. Tracey Worley, Deputy Clerk, who provide the essential organizational roots that keep our governance stable. By managing the flow of information, the Clerk provides the stability and structure necessary for our Board to lead effectively.
