Celebrating 42 Years of Excellence at the Piedmont Summer Regional Governor’s School!
We are thrilled to wrap up another incredible year of learning, exploration, and inspiration! From June 15 – 25, 2026, Chatham High School hosted our two-week enrichment program, serving identified gifted students in grades 4–7.
What started over four decades ago as a program just for our local division has proudly grown into a recognized Virginia Summer Governor’s School enrichment opportunity. This year, we welcomed 363 gifted students from eight school divisions and five private schools across the region—including 64 phenomenal students from Pittsylvania County Schools!
Here is a quick look at what our students experienced:
• 11 specialized classes designed to challenge and inspire young minds.
• 36 exciting field trips to regional businesses, museums, and learning sites that brought classroom lessons to life.
A huge thank you to the administration and staff at Chatham High School and the Victory Academy for graciously hosting us once again.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Pittsylvania County School Board for their vital financial support, ensuring that all of our students' educational needs are met. We truly value your continued support as we already look forward to an amazing 2027!
