2026 Graduate of Merit

On Thursday, May 7, Pittsylvania County Schools proudly hosted its 27th Annual Graduate of Merit Ceremony, recognizing the exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and dedication of students from across the division. The event brought together students, families, educators, administrators, and community members to celebrate academic excellence and the bright futures of this year’s honorees.

The Graduate of Merit program honors students who exemplify achievement, character, service, and commitment to excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Throughout the evening, students were recognized not only for their academic success, but also for the positive impact they have made within their schools and communities.

School leaders and staff applauded the honorees for their perseverance, leadership, and determination, noting the countless hours of hard work that helped them reach this milestone. Families and supporters also shared in the celebration as students were recognized for their dedication and accomplishments throughout their educational journeys.

Pittsylvania County Schools extends its heartfelt congratulations to all 2026 Graduates of Merit and offers special recognition to Victoria Spong of Chatham High School, who was named the 2026 Pinnacle Award winner. The Pinnacle Award is presented to the student earning the highest overall distinction within the Graduate of Merit program and represents the highest level of achievement among this year’s honorees.

The division is proud of each student recognized during the ceremony and looks forward to the many accomplishments they will achieve in the future.
