The faculty and staff of Gretna High School are pleased to announce Mrs. Kim Carter
as the PCS Employee of the Week. Mrs. Carter is a 1986 Gretna High School graduate
and recalls wonderful memories as a Hawk and has been a wonderful addition to the
staff.
Mrs. Carter is in her first year as school nurse but brings 25 years of nursing experience
with her. Her first year at GHS has included countless hours of contact tracing and
team work to ensure that all the appropriate protocols are followed during this
pandemic. Mrs. Carter has worked tirelessly and efficiently throughout the school year.
In her spare time, Mrs. Carter enjoys camping with her husband, Rick, son, Austin, and
two dogs, Hank and Daisy. Mrs. Carter stated, “I am thankful to come back to GHS and
feel that it was an answer to my prayers.”
We commend you, Kim, on your work ethic and the pride you take in your
position. Congratulations to Mrs. Carter on the selection as the Pittsylvania
County Schools' Employee of the Week!
