Employee of the Week

It is with great Trojan PRIDE that Tunstall High School recognizes Lieutenant Colonel David King as the PCS Employee of the Week. LTC King joined our Trojan family in 2009. In addition to his many years of service as an Army Junior ROTC Instructor, he proudly served our Country for 22 years in the Army until he retired.

Over the years our students, our school, and our community have benefited from his many contributions! LTC King’s programs have maintained the highest standards of performance for JROTC units as exemplified by Honor Unit with Distinction ratings in every unit throughout his JROTC career. Also, he established the U.S. Air Force Civil Air Patrol (a club at Tunstall High School). LTC King developed and ran a successful recycling program for our school. Over the years, tons of materials have been collected and provided for recycling from Tunstall High School. These efforts prevented excessive trash in the landfills.

When LTC King is not working at Tunstall High School, he enjoys spending time with wife, Donna, and his son, Captain Joshua King. His hobbies include reading (mostly history), collecting military artifacts, genealogy, traveling with his family, and maintaining his first car, a 1971 Triumph TR6. LTC King also enjoys serving as a First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor for the American Red Cross.

We are thankful to have LTC King as part of our Trojan family and to recognize him as the Employee of the Week!  He is a source of Trojan PRIDE to our students, our school, our division and our community!

Congratulations LTC King!
