Chatham High School (CHS) is pleased to announce
Mr. Patrick Gray as our employee of the week. Mr. Gray proudly
serves CHS as the custodial groundskeeper. His dedication to
the appearance and overall maintenance of our school is not only
appealing to the eye but uplifting to the spirit. Mr. Gray
understands and welcomes his role in the academic process as
such, “when students come to the campus, I want them to feel
good about themselves and also be inspired by their
surroundings. I feel like if they are in a nice setting, they
will perform better.”
Mr. Gray feels that the school’s appearance goes far beyond the
general “upkeep” of the grounds, and serves as an instrumental
part of the students’ daily attitude and approach. With him,
Mr. Gray brings extensive general work experience through a
multitude of areas. He has worked as a crane operator at
various locations and works as a mechanic in his spare time.
His vast working knowledge has proven to be an invaluable asset
to our building.
Mr. Gray has been married to his wife Tonya for the past 21
years. Tonya is also employed by PCS as a pre-K aide at Gretna
Elementary School. Mr. Gray is also the proud father of three
daughters and one son. He has one daughter at each of the
Gretna Schools (elementary, middle, and the high school), and
his 20 year-old son is employed by Doss Electric of Gretna.
Again, our faculty and staff would like to thank Mr. Gray for
his hard work, dedication, and willingness to go the extra mile
in order to accomplish necessary tasks. He is most deserving of
this special recognition. Congratulations Mr. Gray!
