Dan River High School is both pleased and honored to announce our
selection for Employee of the Week, Mrs. Charlotte Bowman. Mrs. Bowman has
been employed with Pittsylvania County Schools for four years. She is
presently a teacher's aide and diligently works with a loving child each
day as together they attend classes and expand their horizons.
Mrs. Bowman is a beautiful person with a pleasing
personality. She has a demeanor that most people envy. She is one of the
most well-liked and respected members of the Dan River family. Not only
does she constantly smile and brighten any room, she does every part of
her job with kindness and respect. She greets everyone, friend and
stranger with a happy greeting. Her cheerful personality has helped to
create a welcoming environment for anyone who comes into contact with
her.
Mrs. Bowman is an active member of her church, Blue Wing Baptist,
where she sings in the choir and is also a member of the Senior
Missionaries. She has a beautiful singing voice, and was even the
featured (and surprise) entertainment at a FCCLA Club meeting, where she
entertained the club members with song.
Mrs. Bowman lives in Danville and has been married to Robert
Bowman for 39 years. She is the mother of two grown children, Robert Jr.
and Charity and is also the very proud grandmother of Cedric, the grandson
she loves to care for and spoil. In her spare time, Mrs. Bowman likes to
visit the nursing homes and the sick and shut in. She also enjoys
spending time all her family and friends.
Faculty and staff members describe Mrs. Bowman with words like
"loving.... caring.... helpful.... dependable.... conscientious....
cooperative.... and above all, she is always smiling!"
Without a doubt, Mrs. Charlotte Bowman is most deserving of this
recognition and we are honored to have her as our co-worker.
