Chatham High School is honored to recognize Ms. Jessica Edwards as our
Employee of the Week.
Ms. Edwards began her
career with Pittsylvania County Schools as a guidance counselor at Gretna
Middle School in 2006. She has been a guidance counselor at Chatham High
the past two years.
Ms. Edwards is a graduate of Tunstall High School and completed
postgraduate studies at Virginia Tech. She graduated from Virginia Tech
in 2001 with a Bachelors of Science in Family & Child Development and in
2003 with a Masters of Arts in Counselor Education. Before returning to
Pittsylvania County, Ms. Edwards worked as guidance counselor in Pulaski
County and in Bedford County.
Some of the guidance duties of Ms. Edwards include serving as the freshman
counselor, school test coordinator, and homebound contact person for CHS.
She is also a Varsity cheerleading sponsor. She is prepared each and
every day to be given a new task to complete; without hesitation she is
eager to work, learn, and assist both students and teachers in need.
"Ms. Edwards is a vital component to the success and performance of
Chatham High School; she is very pleasant to work with and will do
anything that is asked of her. She has given the faculty, staff, and
students many hours of support, knowledge, and assistance," said
Angela Rigney, Assistant Principal.

a privilege to present to PCS Ms. Jessica Edwards as Chatham High School
Employee of the Week.
“I have really loved
working with the faculty and students at Chatham High. Some days it can
be quite challenging, but every day is different and you never know what
to expect. There is truly a great group of people here that makes coming
to work so much more enjoyable.” said Ms. Jessica Edwards
