The Pittsylvania County/Danville City Regional Alternative School would like to acknowledge Carter L. Clark as the employee of the week.  

Carter serves as the Teacher Aide at the Pittsylvania County/Danville City Regional Alternative School where he serves the children breakfast and lunch, prepares breakfast and lunch reports, plans and implements Character Education activities, assists teachers with instruction, and serves as a role-model and mentor to the students as he helps them reach academic and behavioral goals.  

Carter resides in Danville, Virginia, and enjoys singing, playing musical instruments, cooking, and writing poetry. In March 2008, Carter published a book of poetry entitled "This Poet's Soul." He was educated in Pittsylvania County school system and graduated from Chatham High School. Carter has an associate degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University, a bachelor’s degree in Christian Psychology from Freedom Bible College, an associate degree in Elementary Education, and is currently obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. 

Carter enjoys working with students. This passion is shown as he builds a rapport with each student that enters into the school and as he aids in making the climate at school positive.
