She is in her fourth year as a special education teacher at the school.  Mrs. Raines works with students in the classroom as an inclusion teacher.

She is originally from the Northern Virginia area (more recently from Richmond), married a Pittsylvania County resident, and moved to Danville in 1998.  She has one son who attends Kentuck Elementary School.  Mrs. Raines is a member at Moffett Memorial Baptist Church and has found various opportunities to serve there.

When Sharon is not working, she enjoys spending quality time with her family both here and in Richmond.  She also enjoys reading, learning to play the guitar, and occupying her little boy.
