Kevin Holley of  Information Technology
“IT has treated me just like a member of the family." -- Kevin Holley

Ask Katelyn Holley about our honoree and she'd probably tell you, "My daddy can fix anything." For those of us who work with Kevin, we know she'd be absolutely right.

Kevin has been fixing things for PCS for the last 24 years. He originally held the position of AV Technician where he was responsible for installing and repairing intercom and TV systems, as well as repairing AV equipment. He also made weekly trips to all of the schools delivering Central Office correspondence.

In July 2008, Kevin was promoted to the new position of Computer/Video Infrastructure Technician for the Information Technology Department. Kevin plays a vital role in the development of PCS video productions and his work is crucial to the planning for high school renovations. "I look forward to working on the high schools' new network and TV systems," Kevin adds.

Family means everything to Kevin. A devoted husband to Rose and father to Katelyn, Kevin's love for fixing things began at his grandmother's house. As a child, he decided he wanted to watch TV and couldn't. So, he took matters into his own hands. While no one was looking, he climbed out her window, shimmied up the side of the house and onto her rooftop. Once there, he spliced the wires needed to make the antenna work.

This Dry Fork native was an honor graduate from Tunstall High.  He is also a graduate of Danville Community College and holds a B.S. from Averett University (formerly Averett College) in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing.

This degree also comes in very handy as Kevin is also a gentleman farmer. Each Saturday morning you'll find him selling his vegetables and produce at the Community Market.

The old saying goes, if it's not broken don't fix it. But at PCS, we know that if it is broken, Kevin can fix it.

"Thank you to Mr. Parker, for the opportunity to move to the IT Department," Kevin says. But the real thanks should go to Kevin for joining us.  His talents will enhance and expand the support services IT provides.
