Tunstall High School would like to recognize Mrs. Linda Rogers as its Employee of the Week. Her dedication and professionalism in meeting the needs of the students embodies the definition of an outstanding educator. Our entire school community has benefited from her tireless efforts in serving as our central attendance clerk. Mrs. Rogers has been a dedicated employee of the Pittsylvania County School System since December of 1971. She began her clerical career at Whitmell Elementary School and transferred to Tunstall High School in 1972. Mrs. Rogers attended Danville Community College and is a member of the Virginia Association of Education Office Professionals. In her job as attendance clerk, Mrs. Rogers has been highly influential in encouraging children to return to school. Her vigilance and attention to student attendance has led Tunstall to the lowest rate of absenteeism among the County high schools for many years. Her skill in communicating with parents is an invaluable asset. She has devoted countless hours tirelessly calling parents and encouraging high attendance for the students of Tunstall High School.
Mrs. Rogers
epitomizes the spirit of community service and good character. She is a
faithful member of St. Matthew Baptist Church and serves the
congregation as its financial secretary. She is deeply committed to her
family and is the proud mother of three sons- Dedric, Derrick, and
Jason. Admittedly, her three year old grandson, D’dric, is the joy of
her life. |
