Larry Hanks has lived his whole life serving others. And in his present job as Network/Computer Technician, he's still taking care of people.

Larry is an active member of Westover Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Westover Ruritan Club. His dedication to community service isn't just limited to the Dan River Region. He spent two years protecting our Country by serving in the United States Army- Air Defense.

A Danville native, Larry was educated in PIttsylvania County. He attended Mt. Hermon Elementary, Hughes Memorial and graduated from Dan River High.

Larry was employed by Dan River Mills from 1969 to 2004. He later earned an Associate Degree in Computer Networking from Danville Community College in 2007.

Larry and his wife, MaryNell, are the proud parents of two sons, Christopher and Johnathan. They also have one granddaughter, Emma (age 2 1/2) and anticipate the birth of another granddaughter in May.

In his spare time, Larry enjoys fishing, metal detecting and flint knapping (making arrowheads).

The Information Technology Department proudly welcomes this newest member to our team. He's ready, willing and able to serve our Division...just as he has always been there for our community and our country.
