Emily B. Hill, R.N. of Support Services

“I would like to thank the School Board, the administration and the staff of PCS for the progress we have made in providing school health services to every student in PCS and helping us to live up to our motto that “Healthy Students Learn."-- Emily B. Hill

The Support Services Department is pleased to announce that Ms. Emily B. Hill has been chosen as the "Employee of the Week".  The entire staff would like to congratulate Ms. Hill on this much deserved recognition.

Ms. Hill has served Pittsylvania County Schools as a school nurse coordinator and is currently the Medicaid Coordinator for the division.

She is the mother of three daughters: Allison (who is married to Mark Moore), Amy and April and grandmother to Kendall (5) and Emma (2).  She attends Shermont Baptist Church.

Ms. Hill graduated from Tunstall High School and DePaul School of Nursing.

“When I came to work for PCS in 1987 there were only two school nurses to cover the entire county.  My dream was to see a school nurse in every school before I retired.  It has been 20 years, but this dream came true at the beginning of this school year.  We now have a full time nurse in every school.  I would like to thank the School Board, the administration and the staff of PCS for the progress we have made in providing school health services to every student in PCS and helping us to live up to our motto that “Healthy Students Learn”.  I sincerely hope that I have made a difference in the life of some child during my career with PCS.  I would like to express a special thanks to all of the Support Services Staff and especially to Janice, Peggy and Sonia for their support and team work over the years.  May God Bless You All.” -- Emily B. Hill
