Chatham High School (CHS) is
pleased to announce Mr. Harry Carter as our employee of the week. Mr. Carter
proudly serves CHS as custodian. He is the epitome of a team player.
He is in his first year with us and is doing a fantastic job. His dedication to
the appearance and overall maintenance of our school is not only appealing to
the eye, but it’s also uplifting to the spirit.
Mr. Carter is a product of Pittsylvania County Schools as a member of the
graduating class of 2000 from Dan River High School. At DRHS, Mr. Carter was a
member of the Wildcat Marching Band; however, as a former Wildcat, he proudly
accepts his new (and permanent) role as a Chatham Cavalier! Mr. Carter is
following in the footsteps of his father, retired custodian of 35 years, Mr.
Berlin Carter from Twin Springs Elementary.
In his spare time, Mr. Carter enjoys music and teaching boxing lessons to kids
on the weekends, and he is a proud member of the congregation at Faith in God
Temple of Praise. Mr. Carter consistently turns in a good day’s work and NEVER
complains about his assignment. He puts forth a dedicated effort to, “Get it
looking right!” Again, our faculty and staff would like to thank Mr. Carter for
his hard work, dedication, and willingness to go the extra mile in order to
accomplish necessary tasks. He is most deserving of this special recognition.
Congratulations Mr. Carter!
