| The fourth grade students at Southside Elementary School participated in a Colonial Christmas on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Students rotated among their four classrooms and participated in crafts from the colonial period such as: making cinnamon applesauce ornaments, drawing silhouettes, decorating with evergreens, and making air fresheners/ornaments out of oranges, cloves, and ribbons. Students also sampled hot apple cider, gingerbread, sang Christmas songs, and viewed a PowerPoint on Colonial Christmas. |
