Private Nathaniel Keller Visits Southside
On Wednesday, January 11, 2012, the students in Mrs. Shannon Johnson's 4th grade classroom were visited by Private Nathan Keller. He is the brother of Alex Keller, one of her students. The students in Mrs. Johnson's classroom have been writing letters to Nathan during his time at Boot Camp. He left for Boot Camp in October and graduated in January. Nathan came and talked to the students about different obstacles that he experienced, what his living quarters were like, and his day-to-day schedule. He also talked to the children about never giving up on the challenges they may face.

The students will continue to write to Nathan as he continues MCT Marine Combat Training at Camp Legune, North Carolina.
