Kentuck Elementary Holds Winter PTO

Kentuck Elementary School (KES) held its Winter PTO meeting on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. Approximately 500 parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles were in attendance to hear the Pre K and Kindergarten classes, along with the 4th and 5th grade chorus members present "The Nutcracker Suite" - a musical adaptation of the timeless Nutcracker Ballet. Under the direction of Kentuck's music teacher John Martin, the children were colorfully dressed, sang beautifully and were a delight to all. Special thanks to Ms. Elizabeth Craig, Principal at Dan River High School (DRHS), and the staff at DRHS who allowed Kentuck to host their PTO meeting in their beautiful auditorium, as well as to those parents and KES staff who helped behind the scenes with the event.
