Chamber Awards $39,000 for Education Grants (Read full release)

Everlena Ross, Board Member, Danville Regional Foundation and David Holshouser, Board Chair, Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce, presented ten education grants to Pittsylvania County Schools.

“Bully for You, Teddy Roosevelt”
Kate Wells and Ava Baines
Tunstall Middle School

A novel read in language arts will be used to stimulate journal writing and develop reading comprehension.
 


“Experimenting with Electricity!”

Students will investigate and understand how electricity flows
through a series and parallel circuit and construct electromagnets.

 

“InDesign in the Classroom”

 This is a computer based program with on-line books and reading quizzes. 
Students will read aloud with vocabulary and pronunciation support
and/or read with support.


“Measuring Matter Matters”
