GENERAL INFORMATION
The Piedmont
Summer Regional Governor's
School is held the last two weeks of June. It is sponsored by the Virginia Department of
Education and offers a variety of classes suitable for identified gifted students. The
combination of small classes and an excellent teaching faculty provides students with an
atmosphere that is ideal for learning.
Teaching strategies and techniques designed by these highly trained faculty members offer
students the opportunity to participate in learning experiences that include investigative
research, creative thinking, problem-solving and product-oriented activities.
The drama class presents a musical
production. The performance is open to the public and is presented the last night of
Governor's School at 7:30 pm at the Chatham High Auditorium in Chatham,
Virginia. Prior to the performance, all parents are encouraged to attend an open house
from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. |
