Directions To Other Schools


Altavista High School:
Take 29 North towards Lynchburg.
About 15 minutes north of Gretna, take the Route 43 exit, which is the first Altavista exit.
Take a right at the top of the exit ramp.
Follow this road until you start down a steep hill.
Altavista High School is on the right at the bottom of the hill.

Amelia County High School:
Take 29 North 35 miles to the stoplight.
Turn right on Route 24 East and travel 22.2 miles.
Take a right on US-460 East towards Appomattox.
Travel 36.4 miles to Route 307.
Take a left on Route 307 and travel 9.2 miles.
Turn left on US-360 towards Richmond.
Travel 8.3 miles and turn right on Goodes Bridge Road (360-BUS).
Travel 0.3 miles and turn right on Otterburn Road.
Travel 0.6 miles and the school will be on the right.

Appomattox County High School:
Take 29 North.
At the Intersection of Route 29 and Route 24 (Yellow Branch), take a right onto Route 24 East.
Stay on Route 24 through Rustburg all the way to Concord.
Take a right on 460 East towards Appomattox.
Take 460 Business Exit into Appomattox (Do not continue on 460 Bypass towards Farmville).
Go 1-2 miles and turn right at sign for Appomattox County High School.
Go over the railroad track and take a left at the sign for ACHS.
Appomattox County High School will be about 1/2 miles on the left.

Bartlett-Yancey High School:
Take 29 South Towards Greensboro, NC.
Travel 19.5 miles and take the Route 86 exit.
Take a left on Route 86 and travel 10.5 miles.
Turn right on NC Route 1589.
Travel 0.3 miles and take a left on Main Street East.
Travel 0.2 miles and Bartlett-Yancey High School will be on the right.

Bluestone High School:
Take Route 58 East to Clarksville.
Go through the town, and take the bridge across the lake.
Take Route 15 North for approximately two miles.
Turn right on Route 49 and go to Parkside Road.
Turn right on Parkside Road and proceed to Bluestone High School.

Buckingham County High School:
Take 29 North.
At the Intersection of Route 29 and Route 24 (Yellow Branch), take a right onto Route 24 East.
Stay on Route 24 through Rustburg all the way to Concord.
Take a right on 460 East towards Appomattox.
Travel about 15 miles to Appomattox.
Remain on the bypass instead of taking the exit ramp that leads to Appomattox High School.
Go a short distance and turn on Highway 24 East.
Travel about 18 miles before merging onto Route 60.
Buckingham High School is located on Route 60 on the left about 20 miles after merge with parking in the rear of the school.

Central-Lunenburg High School:
Take 29 North to Route 40 East in Gretna.
Follow 40 East all the way to Brookneal.
Take a left on 501N/40 E.
Go across the railroad track and take a right (still on 40 East).
Follow 40 East 47.4 miles to Victoria.
Central-Lunenburg High School will be on the left.

Gretna High School:
Take 29 North towards Lynchburg.
Travel about 15 minutes from Chatham to Route 40.
Take a right at the top of the ramp on 40 East.
Go about .1 mile and take a right at the sign leading to Gretna High School.

Heritage High School:
Take US 29 North to Lynchburg.
Go past Target, Sam's, Walmart, and Cracker Barrell (all on the left).
After Cracker Barrell, take the next left at the stoplight and go up the hill (this is the entrance to Central Virginia Community College).
Stay on this road, veering around to the left.
At the stop sign, take a right on Wards Ferry Road.
Stay on this winding road for a mile or two until you see the entrance to Heritage High School on the left.
(You will see shrubbery spelling out HHS on your left if you pass the side entrance to the school).
If you come to the intersection of Wards Ferry Road and Timberlake Road, you have gone a little too far.

Liberty High School:
Take 29 North to the first Altavista Exit (Route 43).
Take a left at the top of the off ramp and go about 4 miles.
Take a right across from White Rock Store (which will be on the left).
Continue on curvy road until it intersects back with Route 43 near a brick church.
Take a right on 43 and follow it all the way into Bedford.
(You may need to take a left at Glenwood Exxon; but make sure you stay on Route 43.)
Take a left at the first stoplight once you enter Bedford, go one block, and take a right on South Bridge Street.
Follow signs to 122 North (Liberty H.S. is on 122 North).
(You will take a left onto 122 North after you pass a Tastee-Freeze on the right.)

Lynchburg Christian Academy:
Take 29 North Towards Lynchburg.
Take the 460 East Exit just beyond the Lynchburg Regional Airport.
Take the Candlers Mountain Road Exit (Liberty Univ. Exit).
Take a right at the top of the ramp.
Go straight through the stoplight at the bottom of the hill.
Lynchburg Christian Academy will be on the left.
Turn left at the stoplight into the LCA parking lot.

Magna Vista High School:
Follow 57 West from the town of Chatham to Route 58.
Take a left on Route 58 and go about 3 miles.
Take a right on the US-220 Bypass.
Take a right on Route 641 (3rd Exit on Bypass).
Follow Route 641 2.2 miles to Route 687.
Take a left on Route 687 (Soapstone Road).
Follow Route 687 about 1/2 mile to Route 1060.
Take a right on Route 1060. Magna Vista High School will be about 0.6 miles on the left.

Nelson County High School:
Take 29 North all the way to Lynchburg.
After passing the entrance to River Ridge Mall on the right, go a short distance before taking the 29 North exit to the right.
Go through Madison Heights, and go past Amherst eventually entering Nelson County.
Continue on 29 North until you see Nelson County High School on the left sitting atop a high hill.

Patrick County High School:
From Danville, take US 58-West towards Martinsville.
Continue on US 58-West to Stuart.
At the stop light in Stuart, take a left (use the EZ Stop Store as a landmark).
Take a left at the Rite Aid at the bottom of the hill.
Patrick County High School is about 1.5 miles on the right on Route 8-South.

Prince Edward County High School:
Take 29 North.
At the Intersection of Route 29 and Route 24 (Yellow Branch), take a right onto Route 24 East.
Stay on Route 24 through Rustburg all the way to Concord.
Take a right on 460 East towards Appomattox.
Stay on the 460 East Bypass for approximately 30 minutes beyond Appomattox.
Take the Longwood College/Hampden-Sydney College/Keysville Exit (Route 15).
Take a right at the top of the ramp and immediately proceed to the left lane.
Take a left at the first light.

Randolph-Henry High School:
Take 29 North to Route 40 East in Gretna.
Follow 40 East all the way to Brookneal.
Take a left on 501N/40 E.
Go across the railroad track and take a right (still on 40 East).
Follow 40 East all the way to Charlotte Courthouse.
Randolph-Henry High School will be on the right.

William Campbell High School:
Travel north on Route 29, taking the Route 40 East exit in Gretna.
Go about 25 miles until you come to the stop sign in Brookneal.
Take a left on 40 E (this stretch of road is also 501 N), going down a steep hill and to the top of another hill.
Take a left on 501 N after crossing the railroad tracks at the stoplight at the top of the hill.
Travel 6-8 miles on 501 N until you see the sign on the left that instructs you where to turn to get to William Campbell High School.
